Thanks for that story KarinAnne. It’s cool to hear one I wasn’t even aware of. More evidence that Mazzy was quite a catch. Glad you like the photos and I’m sorry to hear about Brewski, too.

Hey Corey –
Longtime lurker, never poster (I’ve just got a lust for great indie band photos involving Converse and amp cords-it’s like nerdy writer girl porn). It’s been lik 8 years since I’ve seen ya, so just so you know, I worked with Dionne back in my Madden days in Tucson. At the time I was watching my bro’s Huskie, Brewksi, while he spent a winter ski bumming. Brewski LOVED Mazzy, I think she was the love of his life. I’ll never forget stopping your house after work with D one day and coming home late for Brew’s evening walk with Mazzy scent on me. He took one wiff of me and then swaggered away from me and sat in the yard with his back to me for about 10 minutes. It was like I had bogarted his dream girl and spurned him so deeply. It took about 27 walks, 3 pounds of treats and one chewed up hiking boot for him to consider trusting me again. It’ll be two years this August that we lost Brewski and I send all my love and good pup thoughts to you and Dionne right now. I’ll never listen to So That Tonight I Might See quite the same again…

Well dude the most recent photos make up for the ones that you wish you had taken. You have done well in keeping her memory alive. Very nice pics! Old Sam is nearing his time as well and we are not looking forward to that. Lin and I both remember Mazzy’s unique character and are saddened that she is gone.

Thanks for the cool backpack Mazzy! For those that don’t know, Jeff C. gave Corey a cool hiking backpack, Mazzy peed on it. Corey got mad! He gave it to me. I washed it…a couple times… it’s all good!

Dear Corey
I am sooooooooooooooooo sad.
You know Mazzy was my girl, too….and I loved her. For her….and for how much she meant to you. My heart aches for you.
I am so very glad that she waited for Gramma’s last visit so we could hug and cuddle and kiss a bit before going to Doggy Heaven.
What a beautiful tribute you have given her, son.
She will live in our hearts forever….

We will Miss Mazzy, she was a beautiful old soldier. I’m sure we have some of her fluffy fur floating around our place. Winston is sorry he and she got off to a rocky start and regrets he will never to make his amends. We were lucky to have had a little bit of Mazzy in our lives.
